The inspiration for this comes from of course Christmas itself and the magic of the season. Of all the wonderous music we hear at this time of year, the one that really sticks out in my mind is the sound of antique music boxes like the Porter and Symphonion. The other was the melodies produced by mechanical music and automata some of which my family and I enjoyed while visiting Greenfield Museum in Dearborn Michigan.
